Uncovering Hidden Costs Using Oracle's Agile Product Cost Management (PCM)

Abstract
Learn how Agile Product Cost Management facilitates sourcing decisions and manages product costs by synchronizing cost intelligence and processes across design, sourcing, manufacturing, and multiple supplier tiers. In this session, Sierra Atlantic will present a case study describing a customer's evolution from spreadsheets to gaining full control of its parts and product costs. The presentation will also highlight the benefits, methodology and cost of implementing Agile PCM from experience with recent deployments. -Make aware the Buyers/IT, an efficient way of managing the RFQ and PCO processes using Agile PCM -Talk about Agile PCM's role in commodity price management, NPI costing and performing BOM costing -Talk how PCM sets and tracks material/non-material prices along with all sourcing related attributes -Explain the opportunity for analysis on prices from component suppliers and contract manufacturers -Discuss how PCMnet(integration of Agile PCM with EBS) will help in reducing price variances.





We had good interactions with the executives and the focus has been very good. Coming to the technical expertise of the resources as I said, we are primarily a Java J2EE shop and we’ve gotten good technical resources and the right kind of experience that we looked for and the leadership and management.
