Sierra Atlantic host’s first annual parent's day

Sierra Atlantic recently hosted a special visitors' day for parents of Hyderabad-based employees. The program was created to promote the company's commitment to the value of family and give parents the chance to learn more about Sierra Atlantic's business and atmosphere. Based on the success of the inaugural event, the management plans to make it an annual occurrence.
The day began with coffee and a presentation about the company, including a discussion with the employees about the what it's like to work for Sierra Atlantic. After lunch (where one parent was overheard saying, "Our children eat better food here than at home"), employees spent time teaching their parents a variety of computer games and sharing Internet tips. In the afternoon the guests were shown around the campus, and visited offices and the company sports arena.
"Sierra Atlantic's get-together for senior citizen parents was awesome," said Mrs. Lalitha Ramakrishnan, Mother-in-law of Maheshwari Kapoor, Marketing Manager. "We were put at ease and were charmed by the hospitality shown to us, and no stone was left unturned to make our visit enjoyable."
"The information given by the CFO for emerging markets, Sanjay Jesrani, on the company's origin, growth, and the values it has adopted in nurturing the talent of the employees, reducing the attrition to negligible levels is really commendable," commented another participant, Mr. L.B. Reddy, Father, Madhu Lodugu, Consultant. "Knowing the nice atmosphere in which my son is working and I'm pleased his career safe in such hands."
Sierra Atlantic also brought in Dr. Rajeshwar Shastry, a senior consultant from Apollo Hospitals, as a resource to the parents to discuss health issues. The parents had the opportunity to discuss specific health concerns and ask questions. At the end of the day, guests were thanked for spending time with the entire staff at Sierra Atlantic and left with gifts and souvenirs from the company.
