Speakership:
Integrate Process Automation Systems to Oracle E-Business Suite
Speaker – Kuldeep Thakur
Mergers and acquisitions in the process industry come with a host of attendant issues, chief among them- being saddled with plants running divergent process automation and control systems that do not integrate easily with business applications.
Sierra Atlantic architected a low-cost, flexible system for capturing information from diverse automation systems integrating them to Oracle's E-Business Suite, leading to efficient operations and providing a host of benefits for an European, global resin manufacturer
Enterprise PLM Oracle Application Integration Architecture Integrations from Agile Solutions
Speaker – Govinda Krishnan
Welcome to the real world . . . where manufacturing and sales rely on product design. Oracle Application Integration Architecture integrations from Oracle's Agile product lifecycle management solutions to Oracle E-Business Suite (and product information management), SAP, and Oracle's JD Edwards are solutions that can address the full cycle of the design-to-release process in heterogeneous environments. This session discusses new product release; product update, new product request, and user-defined attribute (UDA) support processes. It also presents the road map of future integrations of Agile PLM solutions with other Oracle and third-party applications.
Oracle Agile Product Cost Management Solution at Juniper Networks
Speaker – Madan Velamchetti
For most of the discrete manufacturing companies, including Juniper Networks, optimization of managing new product & component material costs and hence reducing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) could potentially become a key driver for improving the bottom-line. As competition is growing, there is lot of focus on streamlining various sub-orgs within the company like engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, finance etc and hence improving the operational efficiencies or bottom-line. Traditional methods/tools used to predict, manage the cost are not scalable enough to serve the modern methodologies used for product design, manufacturing and sourcing. These traditional methodologies also potentially hamper a key driver for success for global companies- information flow & availability. Albeit there are many approaches organizations follow to optimize COGS and as well to boost internal operational efficiencies, considering other driving factors mentioned, one of the key approaches might be to implement/use a comprehensive, integrated Cost Management System (Software Product) to manage the cost. Prior to Oracle Agile Product Cost Management (PCM) implementation, Juniper cost management was managed by pretty much a mega spreadsheet shared among few sects of people only. This also poses another challenge for global company like Juniper, in terms of availability of data & hence the information/ knowledge, across different departments and also having little visibility for management level on cost & spending, cost differences between Contract manufacturers & suppliers, in addition to operational efficiency issues.
