Dear Sir/Madam,
For Sierra Atlantic, 2009 will be defined by how well we adapt to a changed global economy and how we strengthen our market leadership when the recovery eventually takes place.
We believe this period represents a unique opportunity for the better managed companies to emerge much stronger in the long run.
We continue to stay focused on growing our two main business offerings, Information Technology (“IT”) Services and Outsourced Product Development (“OPD”), and deepening our expertise to become the unrivalled choice for our customers at all times.
As the 2008 calendar year came to a close, we all saw a dramatic change in the business and economic climate that created challenges for every organization.
Our strategy to deal with this includes embracing the challenges to meet them head on and to adapt to the changing business landscape.
In particular, we are focused on our business growth in emerging markets including China, India and the Middle East, where we are seeing significant new opportunities for our services.
In addition, we will continue to leverage our strengths including our dual shore delivery model out of India and China, hiring and developing top talent, and delivering best-in-class services to our valued customers.
In this economic climate, it is more important than ever before to recognize the commitments made by our clients and partners and to ensure that the same commitment is reciprocated.
Therefore, our team of experienced and industry-knowledgeable professionals is dedicated to partnering with our customers to provide access to emerging markets and to deliver the highest possible returns to our customers’ business.
For your commitment and continued trust in Sierra Atlantic, I want to personally thank you.
I would also like to reiterate that we remain focused on our core values of nurturing trusting relationships with all of our stakeholders, fostering our employee’s professional growth, and intelligently managing our investments.
We view the challenges that are upon us as an opportunity to further differentiate ourselves from the competition and become the #1 choice for our customers at all times.
Despite the challenging times we are in, Sierra Atlantic continues to report positively on our successes.
In the following pages, you will read some of our highlights including the recent signing of a new co-development agreement with Oracle, the momentum that we continue to build due to the many benefits offered from our operations in China, and a few of our recent successes in the gaming and
manufacturing industries.
I invite you to read the “June 2009” issue of our customer newsletter below and again, thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Raju Reddy

How Sending Work to India and China
Helped a Company Meet Customer Requests Quickly
By Beth Ellyn Rosenthal, Editor, Outsourcing Journal
The bane of using a laundromat is that you have to hang around until your clothes are dry.
No more if you use a dryer equipped with a wireless device from USA Technologies.
The company's eSuds program allows the machine to send the user a text message when the clothes are done.
The owner of the dryer is happy too because, if you paid by credit card, the money is already in his account.
USA Technologies develops technologies for unattended vending cashless payments, typically for use in vending machines, kiosks, laundry machines, even hotel lobbies.
The device, which sends data over ATT's GSM network, allows users to swipe a credit card.
USA Technologies authorizes the card and then sends a message to the machine to approve the sale, letting buyers get their soft drinks or turn on the dryer.
Then USA Technologies settles the transaction, so it appears on the buyer's credit card and in the seller's bank account.
USA Technologies designs and manufactures these ePort devices and runs the ePort electronic payments network, according to Bruce Shirey, vice president of ePort Services.

White Paper
Services in “The New Oracle Economy”
A Paradigm Shift in Services Delivery and Management
by GK Murthy, Sr.
Vice President of Enterprise Solutions, Sierra Atlantic, Inc.
Executive Summary:
As Oracle embarked on this ambitious journey of consolidating a multitude of software platforms, the role of system integrators has become critical in the changing services landscape.
The Oracle vision of providing ‘business applications through internet’ and to promote ‘accelerated innovation’ through consolidation has created several opportunities for both customers and partners to explore new frontiers in Information Technology-enabled Business Growth.
As Oracle released a series of new initiatives, several competing buzz words and phrases started penetrating into the market with overlapping definitions.
It is hard to draw lines between overlapping concepts and where each of the platforms, tools and products can actually help customers, and, more importantly, how to properly sequence the integration of these various products.
As companies form their 3 to 5 year IT plans, the business justification for several initiatives like SOA, BPEL, AIA and Fusion Middleware is not an easy task.
There are myriad services companies and independent consultants trying to define their niches and at the same time provide inputs to this “global landscape”.
This white paper focuses on an approach that helps enterprises and partners to jointly create a strategy that can potentially change “Confusion to Fusion” while leveraging the components of Oracle’s mega vision.
Oracle has acquired over 46+ companies over 4 years.
So at some point of time both customers and service partners should get realistic about the journey and plan the IT strategy.
