Leadership Team

Raju is the founder and CEO of Sierra Atlantic. With over 2000 employees, Sierra Atlantic is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California and has Global Development Centers in Hyderabad, India and Guangzhou, China. Under his leadership, Sierra Atlantic has become a Best-in-Class Global IT Services company, and consistently ranked amongst best managed companies including the top 75 most Admired companies in Silicon Valley, Top 25 great places to work in India and Top 10 best employers in South China. Before founding Sierra Atlantic in 1993, he spent 10 years at Intel in software development, marketing and general management.

Raju holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from BITS Pilani and a Master of Science degree in computer science from Virginia Tech.

Raju is a member of the BITS Pilani Board of Directors and a Charter member of TiE Silicon Valley. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Puente, a Wharton School non-profit program which helps under-privileged communities worldwide gain access to technology. Raju also co-founded SIPA (Silicon Valley Indian Professional Association) along with other young Indian engineers from Silicon Valley in 1987.

Robert Hersh brings over 20 years experience in senior financial positions for public and multinational hi-tech companies. He has held senior management positions with KPMG Peat Marwick and UNISYS and served as CFO at five public companies, including Network Peripherals, Oak Technology, and Widcom, Inc., for which he directed the IPO. Bob has also served as CFO for Alps Electric (U.S.A.), Inc., a subsidiary of a global 500 high-tech company.

He is a CPA and received his MBA from California State University, Sacramento.

Follow Bob Hersh:  

As Executive Vice President, GK has over 25 years of experience and responsible for various corporate functions in Sierra Atlantic. In his role he manages vertical business units and global marketing to drive the growth in all major markets. He has been instrumental in achieving growth plans of Sierra Atlantic from the inception and built several business models. In his accomplished career he helped in several acquisitions for geographic expansion of Sierra Atlantic and managed successful M&A integrations.

Prior to joining Sierra Atlantic he worked for WIPRO, Digital/HP and HCL, and has served as a management consultant in several industries such as Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Process and Financial Services. His core expertises have been architecting leading edge vertical solutions and establish C-level relationships using both products and services in global delivery model. He has Master in Engineering and Physics with PGDM in Manufacturing systems.

Follow GK Murthy:      

Sarath has been involved with Sierra Atlantic since its inception and has held several positions in global delivery and business development. He has played a key role in building and sustaining Sierra Atlantic's key customers over a period of time and in managing offshore delivery teams in India and in China.

Sarath holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani and a Masters degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India.

He is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Hyderabad Chapter and a Charter member of TiE Hyderabad.

Allen Deary focuses on service methodologies, delivery strategies and corporate culture. Prior to joining Sierra Atlantic, Deary co-founded Peritus Software Services, Inc. in 1991. He served as both CFO and CEO of Peritus and led a highly successful IPO of the company in 1997.

Prior to Peritus, he served as Director of Worldwide Product Development at Honeywell-Bull. Deary also worked at Apollo Computer, where he held a number of financial positions including Controller of Customer Support. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Northeastern University.

Follow Allen Deary:  

Sanjay brings over 18 years of finance and operations experience to the table. As Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations in India, Asia & China, he has managed the entire gamut of financial operations including corporate finance, IPO process, internal audit and budgetary control, investor relations, global contracts, setting up of subsidiary operations, implementing transfer pricing arrangements and contributing to the Merger & Acquisition team. He has provided able leadership to the HR & Corporate teams, through the company’s growth, expansion into its own campus and multiple Best Employer awards in India & China. Prior to Sierra Atlantic, Sanjay ran a family industrial venture and headed his CA practice.

Sanjay holds a bachelors degree in Commerce and is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). A keen golfer and art enthusiast, he is also a founding member of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in India.

Follow Sanjay Jesrani:  

Feroze is a passionate leader with 17 years of experience in the IT industry with a unique combination of experience in product development as well as IT service delivery. He has led focused product development groups as well as large global service delivery teams providing IT services. He played a key role in building the best in class delivery capability while leading the global delivery team of 1500+ people. He was also responsible for Sierra Atlantic’s own R&D and product development initiatives. Under his stewardship, the company has developed several innovative technology products. He is currently responsible for the delivery for Emerging Markets.

Prior to joining Sierra Atlantic Inc., he worked at CMC R&D Ltd. developing products for document indexing, workflow, and workgroup management. Feroze has a master’s degree in computer applications from University of Hyderabad.

As the Vice President and General Manager Suresh is responsible for the Manufacturing and Life Sciences business unit that provides services around enterprise application, integration and custom development services. With over 19 years of experience, he has been instrumental in establishing a robust sales team, continuously driving towards profitable growth. In his distinguished career, Suresh has excelled in the areas of R&D, Operations, and Product Management and emerged as a leader in Sales and Business Management.

Prior to joining Sierra Atlantic in 2005, he worked for Digital/Compaq/HP in the US and India in the roles of Sales/Sales Management, Product Management and Business Leadership. In addition, he previously gained experience working with TVS Electronics and BHEL.

A proven leader with a successful track record, Suresh prides himself in execution excellence. He holds a degree in Engineering from Bangalore University.

Phil Hodsdon is Vice President and General Manager of the Financial Services Business Unit for Sierra Atlantic. Phil brings over 25 years of Silicon Valley experience, working for three start-ups in addition to Unisys, Tandem, DEC, PeopleSoft and – most recently - 6 years at Oracle. Phil’s team manages the successful BankON™ product line, both an On Premise and SASS ERP-to-bank integration project.

Phil graduated from UCLA and has an MBA from St. Mary’s college in Northern California.

Follow Phil Hodsdon:  

Xiaomin Zheng has over 13 years experience in software development, project management, sales and general management in the IT industry. As the Vice President in charge of Sierra Atlantic's China operations, he has been instrumental in starting up the China delivery center and greatly grown our IT and software outsourcing business serving both domestic and offshore customers since 2005. Mr. Zheng was selected as one of the Top 15 Outstanding People of Software and Services Outsourcing of Year 2009 in China.

Prior to Sierra Atlantic, Xiaomin specialized in software development and project management at Verizon Communications and EMC Corporation sequentially. His technical expertise spans the full lifecycle of software development and maintenance in telecommunication and data storage industries.

Xiaomin earned his M.S. degree in Computer Science from State University of New York at Albany and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from University of Science & Technology of China.

Sudheer is responsible for project delivery for the Enterprise customers in US and Europe regions. He has over 23 years of experience in IT project/program management, delivering large scale mission-critical technology, building shared services and Oracle ERP solutions to Fortune 100 customers on a global platform. Prior to joining Sierra Atlantic Inc, Sudheer was employed by CMC Ltd for 8 years, where he held various delivery and project management roles.

Sudheer holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University, India.

As the Vice President of Outsourced Product Development, Gopal is responsible for all the services delivery to our ISV customers across Europe and North America. Given the task of developing the Outsourced Product Development business unit, he has nurtured and built an efficient delivery engine which has been producing outstanding quality work for customers. He has also been spearheading the growth of the Gaming vertical. In addition, Gopal has been responsible for the development of many internal tools for Sierra Atlantic including the employee portal and an executive dashboard.

Gopal has over 18 years of experience in the software industry. Prior to joining Sierra Atlantic he worked with CMC R&D in the Office Automation suite of products. He has also spent time working in Silicon Graphics in 1995 developing a popular intranet site for the CIO’s office.

Gopal has a Masters Degree in Computer Applications from the University of Hyderabad.
