Java Tech Support Manager

Desired Profile:

  • Ownership for an important portion of the product family through the full lifecycle from high level design to support
  • Regular deliverables, including product specification sections, design document sections, UML diagrams, implementations, unit tests, and in some cases, supporting documentation
  • Work closely with our product management team to gain a detailed understanding of the product requirements
  • Work closely with other members of the engineering department to coordinate development efforts and to present work in groups of peers and often the entire organization
  • Assist and mentor junior members of the department

Mandatory Skills:

  • Java / JDBC / Servlets
  • Weblogic / Websphere
  • Unix / Linux
  • Leadership / Communication
  • Project Management

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in technical support (product) and managing technical support teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualification: BS or MS in computer science, or equivalent

Experience: 8+ years
